I do agree that FSG are not ambitious enough when it comes to the stadium. Most people regard Man Utd as the biggest club in the country now and I believe that the stadium has a lot to do with that impression. The design of the new stand makes it impossible to even fill the corners in and the reasons I've read for not filling in the corners is it isn't cost effective.
I think we'll get to 58k and that will be it, I can't see how we can expand any further.
Yeah that's it sadly, 58k and holding. As stanley says it's tragic financial cowardice. I've been in Old Trafford as well as Anfield and I can confirm there's no comparison. This mickey mouse redevelopment leaves us miles behind them for a generation and maybe for ever, its unforgivable and a tragedy for fans and city alike. Imo, only a virtual fan could be supportive of this missed opportunity!
