P.S. AQs you can see, this thread has got something to do with FSG's plan...and if you read the OP, the plan is praised, not the owners. You guys decided to turn it on it's head. Now you are crying wolf.

You know, I'll be the first to say that I'd have preferred a new stadium. Are they the best owners in the world? No. No they're not, but they are the best out of those who are interested. And what have they done so far? Well they've systematically tackled and removed any deadwood the could, and have done/doing away with these big unnecessary contracts that were unsustainable and introduced more performance based contracts to ensure that players earnt their money. They have invested in youth and are building for the future. They have put their faith in a young ambitious manager who is proving more and more to be the real deal as he matures into the role and builds the team. They have shown a willingness to act in the transfer market. They have aquired numerous lucrative sponsorship deals to increase revenue into the club. They are finally getting SOMETHING done about the stadium situation after decades of waiting. Fair enough, they cant afford a new stadium but are at least tackling the issue in some way.

If indeed these rich owners people speak of were to come in and brings us on par with city, then where exactly are they!? If FSG are these money hungry cut throat investors that people are so quick to identify them as, surely they'd sell as soon as a profitable offer came along right? So why arnt these owners coming along? Especially now that we are a much more attractive entity as a business? Where are they? We have the international fan-base, now the self sustaining business and CL. So why havent we heard anything? Maybe because just *getting a multi billionaire owner to come along* isnt as easy as some people would like to believe it is. Maybe its closer to winning the fracking lottery than it is anything else.

So as much as people are kicking and screaming for things to happen "now now now, I want my pudding now!" and throwing their toys out the pram, spitting their dummys out and generally crying like petulant children, you're going to have to grow up and accept the fact that we're going to be building something rather than be handed it, no matter how much you're going to bloody moan about it.
Agreed.

FSG are the best of a bad bunch is what the conclusion seems to be. Call yourself Liverpool fans ? You don't know the meaning of it. You should be wanting the best for the club at all times not meekly accepting our fate with a man who simply does not have the resources to run Liverpool FC. The Liverpool FC I grew up with under bill shankly was ambitious and strived to be the best that is the Liverpool culture and that's how we grew to be the club we are which no doubt attracted your interest marko. My interest is in reviving that culture but it's a hard Job with some on here thank god attitudes like that were not around in the 1960,s

I don't need you to decide what makes a person a Liverpool fan. That is what pisses me off most about you to be honest, the blatant arrogance is ridiculous especially for someone of an assumed more advanced age and education to be so petty about things

Bill Shankly was also an innovator, he found ways to make things happen And was not afraid to break the trend. Something we seem to be attempting to do as a club in the PL. Bill Shankly would never have approved of over played primaddonas like they have at city or Chelsea. We are leading the way forward for all the clubs who don't have billionaire owners, through incentive based contracts, team structure etc etc. That's what Bill Shankly was, a leader and an innovator.

What you want is for us to copy those around us even if we know their models are nit sustainable or realistic, and then you have the audacity to go and pull a "What would Shankly say?"

Shankls would say you are a dimwit, because you are afraid to make your own way work, because you want to copy a formula destined for failure, because you want to buy into the capitalist market and throw money at something completely uneccessary. That's what the big man would say.

And Mr google man I have heard Bill Shankly speak to the people live at St georges Hall you can judge a man from that he would have taken no [oops] from John Henry you can be sure of that. He was a man of the people and he would fight for the people I am pretty sure he would be demanding a new ground and that Liverpool compete not settling for John Henrys profit target

I will never stop raising it not because I want to annoy people but because we need to be able to compete with the best who would not want that ?

Then raise it with people who matter and not on a voiceless anonymous forum if you really want to make a difference.
