Have the same feeling I'm afraid.

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

I think it'll be 2 - 2 and that'll be no disgrace, as Spurs are no pushover. There's also a possibility we can turn them over if we get an early goal, but it won't be as easy as last season that's for sure.

Obviously I hope I'm completely wrong and we put 5 past them.

They've been a booby team for us for god knows how long now, think we'll do 'em 3 - 1 though. Hopefully that match they played the other night did enough to disrupt them wink

I think Rogers has to rethink his approach (he may well have done it being so early) but at City was it not the right approach to have tried to do a Mourhino and keep things tight rather than always looking to go for a spectacular win?

Just saying it's maybe something we have to look at post Suarez?

I've never really thought we could win it this year. Top 4 again is very attainable and even if we loose this weekend. 3 points out of 3 isn't a great start if that's how it turns out but it still doesn't mean we won't get top 4 especially as we still have 35 games left.

I think you're right about the way we play and maybe why we've not looked too good. But with a bit of time the players will get used to not having Suarez around and things will look better. Mario will definitely add something if the Suarez though so will give teams something to think about.

I guess it's mathematically not a 'must-win' game and a loss doesn't necessarily derail an entire season, but the effect this could have on morale is huge. Lose and we face a media saying we are nothing without Suarez, players doubt themselves cause we won so easily last year. Win, and we put last week behind us whilst asserting ourselves as above spurs in terms of how te players think of us as a club. These early games are so important wilki and dismissing their importance simply because you 'can' bring it back is naieve. It's more important than ever as we've lost our best (by absolutely f!cking miles) player, in fact the third best player in the world. We need to assert ourselves as still the strongest top 4 contender out of the competitors (I.e not Chelsea city and arsenal who should get it quite comfortably.

We've beaten them the last 3 times we've played them, and we can do it again. We need to start in the diamond though.

I agree to an extent and it'll be far from ideal if we loose. But if 2 losses at the very start of the season knocks the players confidence enough that it affects the whole season, they shouldn't be pro footballers IMO.

Every team in the league will loose a minimum of 5 games. I think and we lost 6(?) last season for 2nd and City 5(?). We also played quite badly at the start of last season but had the bonus of not playing City etc. until we were playing better (and still lost!). So if we go with the same pattern as last year, we should pick up after a few games. We're still more than good enough to beat Spurs despite not firing and with Mario coming in who know, it could be 5-0 again! But for me, not winning here won't ruin the season.

I don't think anyone is going to deny that it's a big game and a big opportunity. I'll be very disappointed if we lose, but if we do it's not the end of the season.
