I'd play the following team... Dropping Coutinho and Allen

Manquillo Skrtel Lovren Moreno

Coutinho looked great in pre-seaon but in the league games he's been marked out the games and hardly contributed.
Lallana due his a game as well as Markovic getting his first start.
Can could play Fullback if needed as well as Henderson or we could switch to 3 at the back if required, Balotelli needs to get game time but after starting 45 mins 3 times in the last month I'm not sure if he's fit for 90 mins, Also let's keep the man on his toes in terms of starting to soon.
Be interesting to see how Markovic and Lallana do as they both play in the same / similar role to Coutinho. Let's give them both a start to put pressure on the lad to perform to a consistent level something which he has lacked since joining us.
I'd look at Subbing Balotelli on around 60 mins with Can as well for Lallana who's back from injury and needs game time but not ready for a full 90 mins and for Sterling and or Markovic dependent on affect on the game. Markovic coming off more likely.
Then if Sturridge hasn't scored with 15 mins to go look at bringing Lambert on to keep Danny on his toes as well..
We have a great group of players and the bench is much better then anything I can remember in recent memory.
Rodgers needs to use them wisely and rotate players on fitness and or levels of form.
I don't think Lallana is fit enough yet. And even if he was, I don't think he's quite earned his start yet. Can has. I'd put Can in for Lallana.

Coutinho was brillant in pre-season with BR saying he would be a very important player for us. I is difficult to understand what's happening to him except that he is being very well taken care of by the opposition who has studied his game. Maybe he should play in the middle with SG and Hendo just behind him. But then, I am not too sure our back 4 will be well protected. Maybe Can should play and anyone of Gerrard or Hendo be dropped. I feel BR hasn't found a solution for our central midfield.

Did we play with 2 strikers in preseason? I think that maybe why he's not doing to good now. I am kind of upset we didnt start the season with Sturridge and Lambert. I believe people are really underrating Lambert. He will have at least 20 goals/assists. The funny thing is I think we should of played 2 up top in the first two games. although the way spurs have been playing and there weakness being on the flanks we need pace on the wings. Vish i agree with you Rodgers is still looking for the midfield maybe its so many options. Wow what a joy to be able to have reliable players on the bench. To me Rodgers also seems afraid to drop Gerrard which might help The Defense.
So for me this game to start has to be a 4-3-3 pace on the wings so Marko and Sterling with Sturridge in between them. Then in the Midfield I wouldn't mind seeing Allen, Can, and, Hendo. But, I think Allen will be on the bench because Rodgers won't drop Gerrard. Our Defense will have Skrtel in it. The others at the back I don't know whose injured is Moreno good to go? If he is he plays in my opinion. John Glenson is out what a shame so it is Flanno if injury free or Manquillo with manny getting the nod over flanno for this one.
O I can't forget a GK aahhh... Brad Jones! Get in there and lets see what you can do. hahahahh

2-1 Spurs. They will boss the midfield.
I would play Can, Llana and Allen in the middle. Drop Coutinio and Henderson.

Depends what you define by season over Wilki. There is a very slim chance of being champions by losing two games so early so from that standing yes it is. We can all debate whether we have or had a genuine chance of that and realistically probably not but you have to wonder sometimes if this go out and try and play as we did last season without Suarez is not only unrealistic but fool hardy.
I think Rogers has to rethink his approach (he may well have done it being so early) but at City was it not the right approach to have tried to do a Mourhino and keep things tight rather than always looking to go for a spectacular win?
Just saying it's maybe something we have to look at post Suarez?

I'm worried about this game a bit, have a bad feeling we may be on 3 points after 3 come Sunday evening.
