His attitude is insulting to the fans.
Just plain lazy in body and mind.
How the F@@@ does he get a starting place and when he plays sh#t why doesn't he get substituted, particularly when we are losing?

I must admit to being one of the last to start jumping all over him. It has been a gradual decline getting worse and worse game by game.

I think BR said last season that he had been playing on through pain and injury probably to paper over the cracks a bit until an opportunity to properly replace him comes along.

Well that time is now here. There are 2 who can replace him now at RB and he is out injured. I just hope the guys replacing him make it hard for BR to drop them even when he is fit.

BR backs all his players unlike all the other top managers. He never publicly criticises any of them even though he was
severely tested by Suarez. Even since his departure he has not criticised him.

So it would be no surprise to see Johnson phased out of the team now that his best years have gone.

What does BR see in him, is the question? It's BR who picks him after all. He's the one who should be queried in my view.

It really isn't Glen Johnsons's fault that he is GJ.

When he signalled to come off, it might be that he thought we could maintain momentum if a fit sub was brought on quickly (he hadn't realised there were no subs left). We were just at the point of rattling City for the first time.

He's picking up too much flack for what is BR's decision to play him / the club's failure to enlist what it feels to be a better replacement.

It was BR's team and he brought Lambert on too late. That was at least part of the problem and BR should defend Johnson (as he has) because it was BR who picked him.

That we feel GJ may need replacing is fair enough but the vitriol sometimes sent his way seems misplaced to me.

I don't think GJ can be blamed for any one of the 3 goals we conceded on Monday despite that fact that it was our defensive play that let us down. The vitriol sent his way for that game is misplaced.

The 'vitriol' aimed at GJ is based on his performances and attitude over the last 12 months +, not 'just' monday's game. But D500 is right - BR should get the flack for picking him in the first place. GJ is hardly likely to say, 'sorry boss but I'm not going to play because I'm a liability - it would be better if you picked someone else....'

I think you are right there and that sometimes even when we are winning we have fans on here still pulling up the negative stuff. Which is their right but it is a team game.

As for finding a replacement I think we have 2 there who could do a job without being world beaters and now that this has happened they get the chance to prove they are better. At £90k a week we are going to be hard pushed to find any takers and any fee is likely to be a nominal one. It's a bit of a stalemate situation that I am sure BR wants to avoid as we are all about looking forward.

i think thats just about the only positive he can take away from that game. this criticism is not just based on one match though. surely you must have seen his form dip over the last 12 months. he looks a complete shadow of the player he once was.

i've defended him over the years when people have said he can't defend. because he was actually an excellent defender at times. good in the tackle and great going forward. but now it seems he doesn't offer anything in the final third, it just feels like he's there to make up the numbers and its about time somebody else got a chance. especially flanaghan after working his way back into the team and impressing again.

I don't like questioning the manager with what he has done in overhauling such a mess prior to taking the job but when you see Johnson at RB of late who the hell thought it sane to sell Kelly for 20 quid to Palace. He was better at RB even if he was struggling to recapture his pre-injury levels.

I really think that one will come back to haunt us big time.
