I think Mario being in the stands adds a bit of bite to this game. Not overly surprised by the line-up, though I hoped Markovic would start too. Hope he comes on and grabs the winner. Small matter of Johnson to contend with Liverpool minds for 50 mins before kick-off...

I feel that our midfield could be overrun with Allen the weak link, but then, not sure if young Can or Markovic is ready for such a game so early in the season. This game has come too early.

Allen was superb last week and looked good in pre-season. I'm more worried about Coutinho. He was off the pace last weekend, and it'll be harder finding that yard of space tonight.

Yeah, I'm more worried about John Glenson than Allen.

The City midfield is much heavier than Southampton so worried about Allen and Coutinho is Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, he can be incredible or invisible.

Br shud of gone with Hendo sg can, with sterling n Phil on the flanks

We need to match yaya ferdinho work rate and match them physical

Allen is going to just bounce off these two city players

Remember why we signed Allen? He bossed Toure in games againat City... Not sure why you're writing him off...
