Best of luck to him. For a few years, he was the best in the prem, and he saved us many times. Set loads of records. He's part of our history.

Vish I doubt that was the case, he probably didn't want to stay here (due to him and Rodgers apparently not getting on), either that or Liverpool don't wish to pay sky high wages for a second choice goal keeper, I doubt his ability even came into it.

Well, if it was about wages then it's silly as we have sold him for almost close to nothing, I doubt we will get that quality for 2m even after adding his wages. I think it is more because he said that he was working with the best manager he knew when he went to Napoli.

If Reina was on for example £100k a week then we will save £5mil a year on wages which needs to be taken in account.
What if him leaving is and freeing up his wages is the difference between signing Cavani?
There are numerous factors to take into consideration.
Personally I think he was great for 4 seasons, then his form dropped and his attitude upset a lot of Liverpool fans, understandably so in my opinion.

Over £5m a year to sit on the bench, it's for the best that he moves on really. We could do with some of that money to pay a striker.
