Not in Gerrard's place. Allen cannot play DM or box to box, he is more a link player

He can play DM. He played there for the UK olympic team, he's played there for Swansea, and he played there for us when he first signed (and looked quit tidy until he got that shoulder injury). He's a decent tackler, and he presses very well.
