Once again you are forgetting the buyout clause. What is it with people that can't understand a buyout clause.

If fsg, Ayre were smart

All of our clubs players shud have buyout clauses of 100m sterling each

Even players like aspas borini Johnson etc etc

If a club wants a certain player ie
Aspas and bids 7m.., lfc can sell him without meeting his 100m buyout clause, as both clubs have reached agreement

If barca offered 80m for Suarez , lfc wud say meet the buyout clause and he is yours

Who knows G, maybe a higher clause was proposed but Luis's agent didn't agree with the amount.

If there was no clear release clause in the new contract, he wouldn't have signed it. We managed to hang on to him last year only because the buy out clause was not clear and any player can leave a club if he wants like handing out a transfer request, go on strike, sulk and play badly etc. No employer wants to keep an unhappy employee so stop blaming FSG for selling Suarez. He wanted to go move Spain to Barca FFS, his family also lives there, it was his dream.

He signed a new contract to get more money and a air tight release clause. We have him a new contract to protect our investment. The only reason Barcelona are paying £75m for him is because of the season he's just had, why would they agree to paying that last year when he only looked 3/4 of the player he is now?
