For me best player I have seen at Anfield very close Gerrard, Barnes, Dalglish but for sheer talent he just edges it.
This is not a good day for Liverpool football club that said good business sense if he bit again (which my doctor friend assures me he will) then the £75m will have been wasted.
Lets hope FSG spend that money on the team plus what they would have done but I would not hold your breath all previous evidence would show that the money will be fully reinvested and then some. I would expect our transfer spend to be around 115-125mil this summer with a net spend between 30 and 40 mil As actually think that we will have a better team and definitely a better squad with Suarez leaving, at least we have the possibility of doing this if we buy smart. The best thing that happened is that he has been sold early in the transfer window, so no need to panic buy. Don't forget that all teams winning trophies last season didn't have Suarez in their teams, so there is no reason we cannot do the same.

I wish he had played one more year. Would have loved to see him at Anfield on a champion's league night. I understand though, with his wife's family and all. I know from experience that it's hard to live in a country where you don't speak the language, even as you begin to learn. He helped us get back to Europe, and we're a richer and better positioned club than when he arrived. Thanks. for the memories, Luis. You made Anfield a cathedral again. YNWA

YNWA Have you moved country's rod ? I spent the last year in Thailand, teaching English as a second language. Hardest thing I've ever done. Not being able to communicate with the people around you can get very lonely, very quickly.

I'm not worried on loosing Suarez I'm more concerned we get the players we want ! which we don't have a great track record at the last few years do we I think that getting foreign stars will actually be hard because we haven't been a top team for some years, our manager doesn't have great credentials and some players and their families don't fancy Liverpool. don't think that we are going to pay over the odds like City and PSG or evn United. Being in the champions league will be very helpful and those playing in the EPL would like coming to us following our last season's antics. Some players (having lots of choices) won't even consider playing in the cold English weather, let alone Liverpool. Therefore, I feel getting EPL stars will be easier.

Staying in the CL places this year will cement our position a lot, I think. If we can manage to shore up the defensive aspect of our game a bit, I think we can do that.

I'd lived abroad before (did a term in Oxford), but Thailand was a completely different experience.
