So had Suarez not come back we would have remained in that position ? Is that what you are postulating ?

No. I was not postulating as you so quaintly suggest, just merely asking a question to determine how we had done in the first 5 matches before he returned.
Problem?

As spurs found out with bale you can't replace class very easy this Sanchez looks ok but he is no Suarez or anything like him. I agree with the comments but we have to except the downside risk I would prefer to keep him if we can but it looks unlikely

Suarez has done what we all wanted last summer, we said stay for one more season and get us CL! He's done that and now we can use the money we get from him and CL to fill our squad with quality.

I answer your question politely, and then you completely ignore me.

Thanks for that...not.

I know what you mean for the first time I can ever remember we have a player truly the best in the world or in the top three. That's an achievement even for the premiership never mind a single club. Suarez is the reason we finished second last season or at least a very very large part of it. Not FSG as someone posted on here last week. If we lose him there will be big consequences for our challenge next season

Didn't know FSG was a player who could score a lot of goals but didn't. Maybe you are the one who bought Suarez

From people I know at the club, LFC were resigned to losing Suarez as soon as he signed the contract. The transfer committe have been busy collating big time targets to replace him. At 27 it is fair to Luis is at his peak and therefore most valuable. The pragmatic view is to cash in and re build, sterling and sturridge also show the future is quite bright for LFC. With Spurs it was always hard to look beyond Bale for goals and creativity.

The bite incident is an unwelcome distraction but it has not put barca off although Real are less keen due to the fact that they use shirt sales to fund these big buys. Suarez is not so clean cut as a Figo, Zidane, Ronaldo or Bale, therefore high risk.

Finally the response from LFC has been silence and will remain so. The club are also only talking to the agent and not the player. A sign of displeasure from FSG. LFC have made it clear that they will decide Suarez's future not the agent/player.
