We're getting more and more "mistakes" like this though. I can imagine that FIFA can put pressure on refs to not make mistakes against the host nation because if that had of happened against Brazil last night there would have been riots.

Remember FIFA are the governing body of world football and they openly do things like: before the vote for World Cup 2018 blatter instructed the ex-co to remember the evils of the English press when considering their vote. How is that not fixing a result (against a country)?

I am not saying the penalty was planned, but no doubt, pushing Brazil along, as they are the host nation and FIFA will want to keep attendances up, was. You will see moremistakes in Brazil's games no doubt.

I was listening to a retired Brazilian footballer on radio this morning and even he said there were too many dubious decisions lately involving Brazil, including their friendlies.

He also said that this Brazil team does not seem good enough to make it to the semis, let alone win it.

If there was any match fixing going on last night.the Croat keeper was the main man.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

That first goal for Brazil was a shocker.
How the hell that undeflected scuffed shot dribbled in from so far out is a bit of a concern smirk

Think the penalty was even worse, truly awful goal keeping

I dunno anymore..i feel the ref.pushed Brazil along a bit but i wouldn't put it past the Croats to have sold out either. I wouldn't put it past any team from the Balkans, including Serbia. Watch out for Bosnia's game this world cup too.

Penalties you can't really argue with.
General play comes down to reaction and positioning - pens have all the nerves and waiting on top of that. Pens are horrible bloody things.

The "foul" for the pen though.. crazy

FIFA can surely influence an anonimous voting exercise, but a game result visible by billions of people is a different ball game. It's much easier to bribe a goalkeeper
