Title says it all guys.
The best thing fsg have done thus far is appoint Brendan Rodgers and all he has done since he came in is impress me and proved a lot of people wrong. I even thought at the time why are we bringing this guy in. I thought he was a gamble and I thought we'd already had a gamble previously.
Brendan changed his interview style this season and the way he handles he media big time. I couldn't fault him all season for his wording or the way he delt with tricky questions and situations. He improved on that big time and I hated his nativity in his first season.
Fsg should of strengthened in January and they didn't. Where could we have been if we had strengthened? We probably would be siting here champions. We were top at Christmas which probably could of worked against us. They may have felt that we didn't need more investment but that was a crucial time and they didn't back Brendan.
The meer fact that we are back in the champions league tells you that fsg must back Rodgers. He's got more competitions to play in. He'll need squad player additions and there will also be players leaving without a shadow of a doubt.
Rodgers has without a doubt got the best out of his attacking players so far since coming to the club. I think he could improve his defensive side of his tactics and the way we play at points in certain games but that's the makeup of the way he likes to play. He got us playing in a way that was fun and exiting to watch again. I think there's improvements to make but isn't there always.
Finally in concluding I think fsg would be going back on their promises to make liverpool compete if they don't back us this summer. I think if we entered the season now with our current squad in the champions league, premier league, fa cup and league cup we would struggle. I don't want to hear us squabbling over 2-3 million for a player Rodgers wants. I don't want to hear that they think a player is a couple of years to old and it doesn't fit "our way" to accommodate their sell on policy. If Rodgers thinks a player is key to the puzzle than they shouldn't go to a committee and run it by them first they should do their upmost to meet the managers demands and if it's just not possible than fair enough.
I Don't want to sound all doom and gloom and this is by no means an anti-fsg post or whatever, it is just me saying what everybody already knows. Time to actually step up and perform and jump through hoops the same way Rodgers has since he came.

They've supported Rodgers every transfer window, if he chose to squander the money on average foreign players like Borini and Aspas, blame him.

But give him no credit for improving players and our season last year right?

Top post there JP. The apparent attempt to sign players on some kind of hire purchase arrangement this season could mean us missing the bus again on our key targets, not at all encouraging.

They have competed with mid table teams in terms of money spent on players and they are lucky that Rodgers has delivered.

Just shows how much money can be wasted when your buying 2nd choice players on cheaper wages.
That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.
