Personally I believe the bigger the stadium the better and the more animated the crowd within the stadium the better the product.
However it's been explained to me that I am mistaken and that the future is sponsorship and TV rights. Certainly over the last few years the match going fans have taken a hammering and many now ticket share or watch on TV.
So let's explore the possibility of not developing anfield and long term doing away with the stadium altogether. Seriously why not keep anfield at 45k for now increase ticket prices until the fans bleed and then eventually have an indoor TV studio with all the latest technology to enable the most effective TV transmission?
FSG would save the £150m on redeveloping anfield that money plus the extra gate revenue from the higher ticket prices (£100 to £150 sounds about right) could be put into the squad to build a world beating team over the next decade.
Then at some stage (say within 10 to 12 years Liverpool introduce a TV marketing operation where the game is played in an enclosed warehouse development without any crowd whatsoever,
The sound system could convey accurately the players shouts etc and the technology could immerse the TV viewer in the action particularly with 3 D and other technology. There is no reason the warehouse be based in Britain in fact it could be anywhere in the world.
Sponsors names would be flashed on screen in advert breaks like they have in US football. That should encourage the sponsors would you not say ?
It might sound far fetched but commercially it makes a lot of sense.
What's not to like ?

But the stadium has a high capital cost for that twenty four per cent. It's all about return on capital employed a low cost TV studio would generate the maximum revenue for the capital outlay
