Devod to hear that the plastic flag brigade are about to sign Diego Costa and Cesc fabregas. They both are top players and will add real quality to Chelsea's already pretty strong squad.
On the evening of us digesting the news that we have signed another player "emre can".
It doesn't really compare if they both go on to sign for Chelsea. While it's not right to dismiss a player before he plays a game for us like emre can and even Rickie lambert if you want. I just thought it showed a big difference between the two teams negotiations and transfer targets.
Is it liverpool getting it wrong and targeting lower profile players?.... Is it that Chelsea just offer more money in wages and fees??.. or do you think the players would prefer to go to Chelsea with mourinho there and that attraction??....
It doesn't always work signing big players and paying over the odds but at the same time are liverpool going to compete for big players or/and can they compete for big players.
Lambert/Costa.........Can/Fabregas.....
I think Rodgers has got a job on to sign a top top player this summer even with champions league football. I think he's struggled in the past and wiith more say over transfers recently signing his new contract , I would like to see at least 1 experienced quality marquee signing.
Interesting to see what you think. Also take Chelsea and the history out of it and just look at it from a neutrals point of view. I don't know who man city will be more worried about thus far. Also only sensible posts please...meltdown comes to mind with you guys sometimes. I don't see what is to worry yeah Chelsea looks like they are going to get costa and described but they might not even play well for them and can and lambert will all do good jobs for us. Just think when we bought coutinho and studge quite a few people were like why we buying them they are not good enough. But look at what continuo and studge has done for us now. I just think they will add more quality to our squad and will start to actually give us some squad depth.

Which says to me that we either haven't landed any of them yet...clearly or we simply won't and Rodgers was blowing out his arse.

Or perhaps, Rodgers is a better judge of how, Lallana would affect our first team and sees what he would bring to our system and we are all just fans blowing out OUR arses. I trust BR.

Oh yea like he has with Johnson sakho and agger. He has capabilities to let us attack with freedom and get into players heads when I tick es to attacking but the defence is another question. He hasn't resolved anything there. In fact we have gone backwards in our defending since rafa left.
I'm not talking about Rodgers being a bad manager at all. But he has to improve his defensive attitude to the game.

I think we need to come to the realization that we will concede goals. Our style of play has changed, and we will concede a few more goals than under Rafa, but we will score far far more. As i have said a million times, i wouldn't mind winning each match next season 5:4...would you?
Barcelona concedes a lot of goals too, it's how it goes with this style we are utilizing, the point is, that style allows us to outscore the opposition too.

Until we do t win ninja and teams find us out and play tactics that stop us playing. How many teams will come to anfield next year and play to stop us from playing and not worry about there own game.
There has to be a balance in attack and defence. The palace capitulation etc etc. it doesn't last through out a season.

Tell that to Barcelona...How many years did they dominate with their tiki taka style? Not only in Spain, but Europe too... Teams found them out, but they were too good for them, despite that fact.

I'm not talking about Rodgers being a bad manager at all. But he has to improve his defensive attitude to the game. He certainly needs to do a better job defensively and may have not brought out the best out of Johnson, but Agger suffered a lot through injury and Sakho has had a decent first season at the club. On the other hand, BR has certainly brought the beat out of players like Sturridge, Henderson Sterling and Coutinho.
