BBC news just said there are two reports in Uraguayan papers that Suarez injured a knee in training and will need surgery. Very speculative with no official word but worth noting. They said he's expected to be fit for the WC though?

The very reliable @MartinCharquero reporting that Luis Suarez has injured the meniscus of his knee in training & will undergo surgery today.

Seeing a few reports on this eg: goal.com whistle nothing on Sly or the Beeb yet though. Worrying if true .

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

The club are awaiting confirmation, doubt they would allow an operation without examining him, Zaf get on a plane mate.

Seems a little iffy at the moment. I don't really care if he's fit for the WC as long as it doesn't keep him out of pre-season and the start of next season.

Him playing was probably about the only real reason I was going to watch this useless troublesome tournament.

John Terry suffered the same injury in 2012, his recovery time was 14 days!

Don't remember that.

Strange how so many players can go right through a whole season uninjured isn't it, and then just 1 day with the International squad........... mad
