Most people don't like the pc brigade putting their two penneth in but for a man like him in his position of responsibility and power to think, let alone say those things can't be accepted in a world striving for equality.

Thats it Lain, private jokes or comments are exactly that, not lashing around emails to colleagues when your female staff have access to them, he should have had the decency to stepdown before something else comes out.

This is the thing, obviously as a women I could make a fuss blah blah blah, but thinking with a clear mind is needed.
The women in his employ or company will probably just laugh at him as a man for whom they have no respect but have to simply put up with. But in a world where men like to think they rule then the other men around him may have to act to grab some integrity back?. As has been said a bit of banter is fine I have no problem with that but in the work place it just wont sit well. Otherwise I wouldn't care less what he thinks or says tbh.

I don't believe I said I don't believe in equality for women. It's an example of the hysteria of anything like this that is seized upon by zealots who are anything but equal in their own judgement. For example look at the regular and routine disparagement of men by woman columnists / TV programmes. Men shrug this off and so should women. Serious sexism where discrimination is at hand is different but this is mere banter employed by birth men and woman. He made a mistake given his position but he has apologised and let's have some perspective not hysterical witchhunt by social media by people rooting around for any perceived offence.
