He is not good enough, he is decent but doesn't suit our team anymore, he is a top lad and probably well liked by all.

Thats where we went wrong, if Cabaye had been playing yesterday Gerrard wouldn't have slipped.
We have just won 11 of our last 12 matches in the league and you would think we lost 11 of our last 12 on here.
We lost a dire match yesterday due to an error against a team that should be taken up under the Trades Descriptions Act for describing themselves as footballers.
BR tried to win the game yesterday Mourinho did not, he got lucky yesterday and we didnt. If we had got a lucky break yesterday instead of them BR would have been the Master Technician and not Maureen.
Too many on here more interested in saying I told you so than acknowledging the tremendous strides we have made this season.
Fact remains, luck or not, Maureen won and with any other tactic he would have probably lost as City, Arsenal, Spurs, Everton, Manure etc lost at Anfield. If you thought a bit, may be with Cabaye our goal difference might have been better, may be you haven't noticed how many we have conceded. Or may be we would have score with Cabaye in the team yesterday instead of Lucas. For you everything boils down to luck, but, you make your own luck, otherwise if all is decided, why are we discussing anything here. Maybe I would have got a bike for Xmas when I was a kid if Santa had been real. Basing your argument on what might have happened is just plain silly. The simple fact is that we lost the game because SG slipped at the worst possible moment for us. Also I find it hard to discuss players and tactics with someone who said only yesterday don't give a flying [oops] how we play actually

I wonder what you would say today if we drew by parking the bus. Parking the bus is a tactic if you don't want to lose a game, Mourinho's Inter kicked Pep Barca off CL to go on to win it by using that tactic, but you won't understand that, this is why you'll find it hard to discuss. Italy used this tactic to eliminate both Brasil an Argentina to win the world cup in 82. Funny how you talk about Santa but then keep putting everything down to luck, it's the same crap by the way.

The only thing I put down to bad luck was the incident that led to Chelsea's goal and that actually happened. He fell over allowing Ba to go through and score. That is a fact and it had nothing to do with Maureens tactics it was just bad luck. I have highlighted below the number of times you used maybe and might in relation to Cabaye. Maybe and might are possibilities and not facts, I hope you can now see the difference. If you thought a bit, may be with Cabaye our goal difference might have been better, may be you haven't noticed how many we have conceded. Or may be we would have score with Cabaye in the team yesterday instead of Lucas. I will also once again remind you that only yesterday you didn't " give a flying [oops] how we play" so your views on what players we might have got and how they might have influenced the team have to be weighed against your views on how we play.

I said I don't five a flying [oops] how we play as long as we win it and also said would be happy with a draw. To translate for you I was not bothered with which tactics to play as long as we didn't lose. I would have been happy with parking the bus to get a draw. Coming back to Cabaye, we have been poor defensively and wanted to reinforce the midfield defensively but with somebody who could also score. Yes it's too late now but I hope a lesson is learned and we correct in the next transfer window instead of looking at wingers only. Capiche?

I think this discussion and over-analysis is getting silly. We weren't balls-out attacking yesterday - we were using possession and probing - it would have been 0-0 at half time but for Gerrard's slip. All this nonsense about us 'going for it' and being outwitted is just armchair fan boll0cks. Everyone and his dog knew Chelsea would park the bus - their tactics were not a surprise to anyone in that stadium, least of all BR. Everything was going fine until the slip. The game looked like a classic stalemate and BR would have been fine with it. The mistake was everything - a gift of pure luck to Moronio - who then rode it in hopes that it would hold. As for hooking off Gerrard, that's fine to say in hindsight, but he could have easily ripped in one of those 22 yard shots from the edge of the box. He got a bit tight - but he's still capable of doing something special. After 11 straight wins with a lot of good fortune going our way - our luck ran out yesterday. There is nothing else to say about it. Done and dusted then, nothing could be done because Mourinho is such a lucky [oops]. This is probably why he has taken most points from the top teams this season, City home and away, LFC home and away and I think Arsenal 4 pts.

It could have easily gone the other way without that slip as Chelsea would have needed to start playing in the second half.
