if Borini had someone like Coutinho in that sunderland team threading him through balls, he would have scored a lot more goals. As it stands he's pretty much holding the team on his back with his work rate and his extra touch of quality within a largely championship quality team. I'm sorry mate, but this is complete and utter rubbish. Have you seen Sunderland play this season at all?? He's had a handful of games where his 'extra touch of quality' has actually shone through above the rest of the team, but you clearly haven't seen many games if you think he's been holding anything on his back. He's scored a few good goals and had a below average season in a well below average side. I'd take him back for a season just to see if he can have any impact. 1 more chance as he has shown he can at least belt a ball at quite a lick. That and we don't have the money to go gun ho with every member of our subs bench. But lets be honest realistic and knowledgeable about what the lads actually done this year. From the Sunderland games I watched, I would tend to agree with you. He has had a few moments but far from outstanding. But then the other players were worse except Johnson who sometimes shone. He might do a job as a back up if we don't have money to buy somebody else as Aspas is definitely worse.

He's not an italian international at his age for nothing, he wasnt voted sunderlands young player of the year for nothing. When I've watched sunderland play, he along with Johnson has been by far their best player. Not exactly hard, I know as the rest of their squad is poor, but lets get it right, he has scored in the big games. He scored against City in the League Cup final, he's scored a very crucial penalty against chelsea in the league, as well as one of the two goals that knocked them out of the Capital one cup in the 88th minute! He scored the pen against Man United to also knock them out of the league cup. In the League he scored in both fixtures against Newcastle which is a massive game for sunderland! Albeit one of those goals being from a pen.
If anything, he has proved that he is a big game player, capable of scoring against the top teams. He's still only 23 and everyone is so willing to write him off when he has clearly played well during his loan season. Give the lad a chance! The least he deserves is to have a go in the cups next season as a third/fourth choice striker.
His work rate is phenomenal, he has two good feet and good technical ability with the ball. Like I've said earlier, the way he plays reminds me a little bit of Kuyt with slightly better technical ability but less strength. He makes clever runs in the box, its just that there isnt much quality or the right type of player in the sunderland team that can pick a pass to find him a lot of the time. It happened a little bit whilst he was at liverpool as well, he was making clever and darting runs into the box, creating space but he just wasnt being picked out.
I have a very strong feeling he will come good and become a very good squad player. I am not against giving him a chance as back up at all, especially if we do not have funds to get somebody better. He is definitely more useful than Aspas. Question though, if he wasn't our player, would you have bought him for 11m right now, ie, after his Sunderland display?

would you have bought Henderson for 20 million? I'd say this season he's just about justifying that price tag having been given a lot chances, a lot of time in the first team even after having, arguably, a [oops] couple of seasons before this one! You haven't answered the question, would you buy Borini now for 11m? Hendo by the way is a different case, he was bought 16m not 20 and being English was and would stay overpriced. If you want English/British players with the aim of staying within EUFA constraints, then the supply is lower.

Sell him while he has some value. He is not Liverpool quality especially not if we challenging on four fronts next season. We might get a decent return if he makes the Italy squad for the World Cup.
noun [oops]·trar·i·an \kən-ˈtrer-ē-ən, kän-\. If all else fails say that word outstanding a couple of times. The more you do the more you will believe your own spin.

Definitely worth keeping around. BR has massively improved most of our squad so I see no reason why he can't do the same with Borini, especially as he has worked with him before, knows his strengths, weaknesses etc.

The lad came on board when the side was struggling. if he had been introduced when the team was winning and confident he most likely would have been knocking in a few goals and playing 20 games per season.
bring in average players or players who can improve, to a winning team and they lift and improve.

haha.I doubt anyone will dare saying that VAn..but I hope am not wrong to say that atleast Borini got more pitch time and backing than Aspas. regardless of all the reasons.I want the club to cash in both of them provided clubs do offer something for them i havent seen Borini or sunderland at all this season but if he has been really that good I guess its the right time to sell him while he has a full season's performance to back up.might get a reasonable price this summer. we surely wont when hes a bench warmer. our 4th choice striker and getting few minutes of game time or maybe carling cup.hes young and he would rather prefer to play regular somewhere else than to hatch the eggs on bench at LFC
Steven Gerrard: Heartbeat of LFC.

we need players so keep him for next season, but we still need a 4th striker as backup.
