Rodgers does seem to get the best out of players stars like sturrage Gerard Suarez and youngsters like flanno alike

That's the reason we are doing so well Rodgers is a good motivator

I know we're doing well (really well) in the league and credit is due to Rodgers for that but personally, I think Rodgers has pretty much flopped in regards to transfers. There's also been a strange bit of tactical naivety at times though more often than not he gets it right and of course he's still young and learning his trade, fair play to him but I'm not sure I'd be too keen on him being in complete control over signings.

I wouldn't say he has completely flopped in terms of transfers but he has definitely gotten had some clangers. I would say its not far off 50/50 success rate or thereabouts. I agree about not giving him complete control though.

No I wouldn't say he has completely flopped but definitely largely in my opinion. I'd say the only transfers he has got right are Sturridge and Coutinho, jury still out on a few others (Mign, Sakho, Allen) and the rest have flopped (that's not a go at some of the players, some we've hardly seen but that counts as a flopped transfer in my mind), in my mind that's a poor record.

I don’t blame Rodgers for the signings, nor do I compliment him on the two that are playing well, other than to say he has improved them to a significant extent, despite Coutinho’s in and out performances this season. When you labour under owners like FSG and a committee, it’s little wonder that your horses turn out to be camels, with the odd exception

I think Rodgers' biggest success has been in improving the players we already had. Two cracking signings in a bunch of poor ones isn't much to shout about.

But tbh, after this season and seeing what Rodgers is trying to do, really, who gives a flying fukk? From now, and what I've seen from the season, Rodgers has shown me, that maybe, just maybe, he might actually just be a few steps ahead of us when it comes to players and tactics.

I guess what I'm trying to ask is, do you now pass it over to Rodgers and say, go for gold and take us with you....or.... I'm not too sure yet..... or better yet, who the fukk knows???
I, for myself, believe that he know's I few things that i don't. And for the first time in a few years, I like the surprise!

I thought you wanted to get married. On a serious note, BR has got us performing as we should this season after a very difficult start, I don't think that we are overperforming or may be are relative to United who are definitely underperforming. The good thing is that he is flexible with his tactics and changed the tiki taka system into a quicker system and he is a good attack minded manager.

I don't think that he is a master tactician yet who would adapt his system based of the opponent to get a result and feel that he is too stubornly attack minded sometimes. On the transfer front, there has been one top one Sturridge, a couple of good ones, Coutinho, Allen, Mignolet and probably Sakho, a useful one in Toure and some flops like Aspas, Alberto, Borini, Ilori. However, my main concern on the transfer front has been spending on non-priorities. Ilori for me is a flop even if bought for the future as he proved not to be good enough to be on the bench, we have other youngsters in the first team.

I would say BR is promissing but needs to prove himself further.

I never said any of those 3 were poor signings box, I said the jury was still out on them.

By the way, if the jury is still out on players after nearly an entire season when we needed an instant impact then you could argue they were poor signings.
