I agree that they will be pumped up for the game against us. They do have a better group of players now then they did a last season but they do not have a a better team. They don't seem to have a team at all. They have a group of selfish lazy individuals imo and a sh1t manager. That's my point, they can become a team again out of the motivation to beat us, despite their sh1t manager.

They would have been hoping by some miracle that they could win the CL and get top 4.
Talk sport was kicking off with Andy Goldstein shouting at that knobhead Jason Cundy the reality has hit now that Fergie was indeed the difference and they cannot ever get that back however bad Moyes is.

Just because of their whole superiority complex, I think they might actually give him until the end of the season. It being a world cup year, I think they'd be in for a rough summer with a new manager. Another bad season and they're finished.

Part of me wants him to get a win so he can ruin them for another season. But I'm just enjoying the ride too much. It's like Christmas every time they play. Indeed! Instead of hiding, I now actively hunt down manc supporters.

Be lovely to kick them while they're down by smashing them 5-0 at OT. usually i would love for that to happen but i dont want that to happen his season. if we did smash them surely they it would be the end of moyes. we need him to stay there as long as possible

Commercially and infrastructure wise they are way ahead of us, one more bad season is not going to bridge much of the gap. They can change manager, buy a full team and will be still wealthier than us, so don't fool yourself. The only concern for them is that the Gladzers bought them on leveraged debt and right now they have more debt than us.

There was a discussion in the shoutbox about United playing us and then Olympiakos within the space of a few days and what they would prioritize. I just want to sa that they will definately see the game against us as a priority. It became clear during the transfer window that they did not see the cl as a priority. Buying Mata, a cup tied player for 35 mil spoke volumes about their priorities. They are also fully aware that they don't stand a chance in the cl.
The recent comments from Moyes claiming they are going for the trophy in the CL are just an attempt to shift the emphasis from their league efforts and remove the pressure. I fully expect them to come at us with everything they have and wouldn't be surprised to see them win that game. I expect we will play for the draw on the counter attack, trying to keep the points gap the same as it is prior to the game.
Make no mistake though, united will focus on the match against us and make it a priority. cant see us just sitting there hoping for a draw. i would take a draw tbh

If they have another season like this, I think their brand will tank. Many key players are already leaving, and they've spent 60 million with little result, and they're already losing one year of CL revenue. They have a lot of debt, and their brand is built on one thing: success. Five or six years ago, we were everyone's second club. We fell very hard, very fast. Our fall in the 90s was harder and faster, and we were as big or bigger than them.

Our fall in the 90s was harder and faster, and we were as big or bigger than them. We have lost 5 years of CL revenue, haven't won the league for more than 20 years and you think we have a better chance than United to be on top if they mess up only 2 seasons? Common mate, stop dreaming. Their fan base is there to last at least 15 years, even if they are no longer competing for top trophies, fans don't change teams easily, this is why we still have a significant fan base allowing us to sign sponsorship contracts like Standard Chartered. On top of that they have the biggest stadium in UK. The only good thing is that they are full of debt and it's not their doing, but their owners.
