Well I guess Jovanovic (?) is more or less certain to happen. We always bang on about Silva but why not put a decent package together and go for Joe Cole? Same type of player but one is already premiership proven. That would be two free transfers and then maybe, just maybe we could make a major play for David Villa . Of course money would be an issue and we ain't got much but a lot would depend on the player saying I want to go to Liverpool and don't negotiate with anyone else, plus he's stated before he would only play for Benitez over here so I think something could be done.

I'd quite like Joe Cole. He does get injured quite a bit though and he will command a hefty wage but I think he has spoke of his admiration for LFC in the past. Could be a good bit of business on a free. I think he'll stay at the Chavs though.

What ever happened to that Llorente fella we were looking at last summer? He looked like he'd be good up along side Torres. There was also that Martinez fella that fell of the radar.

martinez will be too expensive, plus im not sure he's the kind of player we need. he reminds more of masch than alonso and we all know what we're lacking...

Joe Cole would be handy on a free because then his wages wouldn't so much of a concern. Jovanovic will be good at LFC too. If the manager (whoever that may be) has 40 mill to spend this summer i would rather that be spent on two or 3 player than blow it all on Villa. He's 29 and although still top class is on the downward spiral.
I suppose it depends on whether we see this year as a massive set back and look to build for the future or if we seriously believe we can win the Prem in the next 2 years. If it's the later then sure spend the cash on Villa but if it's the former then buy 2-3 player who are younger with ability that could see us win it within 5 years. Just hoping the mancs don't win any more in the meantime!!

Alot of people are talking about David Villa, I dont think we will ever afford him so why not talk about more realistic options. My personal favourite is Doyle. we could also get Carlton Cole/Rodelliga. Left back is also a problem and i think Capdivlla is best to fill that position. Get another midfielder, one that is in my head is James Milner, hes excellent and improving rapidly. I think thats all we need to imrpove the first squad. Keep the remaining players such as Beni,Kuyt,Lucas.Babel to strengthen our bench because atm it looks pathetic.

wouldnt mind a single player in place of these four..a match winner,a player with some brain....can we get silva or Mata by selling these four?

umm let me think, lucas 2m,Kuyt 6m, Riera 6m(sold), maxi free..thats 14m. Silva is 30-50m so no we cant

We need players who can play the ball on the fcuking ground not launch it to Torresd and expect him to do everything. Get rid of Sketel and bring in Simon Kjaer. Bring in Silva/Mata if we have money and bring in Milos Krasic
