They have signed grant holt,, we might as well give up now. wasnt he struggling to score for wigan in the championship They have only signed him as cover as Kozak is injured. It will be Agbonlahor and Benteke up front. But their midfield is awful. They will try and come up the middle. As usual any win is a good one. It is too easy to say we will win by 3 or 4 because on form that is what should happen. 2-1 3-2 4-3 I don't care but we must win and put pressure on a couple of the others.

We should beat them comprehensively and send a message to those around us. Hat trick for Luis n two fer Sturridge. Skittles marking Benteke's got me a bit worried though.

They bombarded Arsenal in the latter stages of their game, but then they were losing at home so it was expected. Our full backs should be ontheir toes to stop them sending all those crosses into the area.

We have home advantage, but I don’t expect it to be an easy game for us. We’re carrying a couple or three misfiring players just now, and don’t really have great replacements available. Johnson at RB is a real liability and so is Cissokho at LB so that leaves us with the two CHs to do the heavy lifting in defence, and one of those is Skrtel??? And then there’s Migs currently having something of a wobbly!
Further up the pitch we have Coutinho misfiring as well, not to mention Lucas. So I think our best options rest on Gerrard and Henderson having a good game, winning and providing plenty of good ball to our front players. We also need Lucas to put in a better performance than of late to cover our very shaky defence.
So unless those players I mentioned significantly up their game, this could be a tough outing, home advantage or not.

Normally I’d agree vish, but we’re carrying a few lame ducks just now and you can’t afford that in any PL game, hopefully they’ll all step up and prove me wrong. As to deserving CL qualification? I have my doubts we’ll get close if we don't make a significant signing or two this month, I can see 6th beckoning I’m afraid.
