Stoke are tough on set pieces and for once we batted them away reasonably well. However I'd say the game highlights once again the need for a top class box to box defensive midfield player. Hopefully we'll sign such this window

Fell you've been a bit harsh on Coutinho with 4, he was more of a 6. And I thought Gerrard was class!some crunching tackles, some good passes and of course a great Peno. Sterlig MOTM IMO, although Sky gave it to Suarez??

Cissokho must go, he wasn't terrible today but he rarely does more than the bare minimal, never looks up when crossing but just fires it in, when under pressure he doesn't would rather hoof the ball away than look for another Liverpool player, he simply isn't good enough.

Man of the Match Suarez by a mile. Sterling good but nowhere near a 10. Suarez close to unplayable for that first goal of his and totally unplayable when Sturridge came on.

Great to see Sturridge fit back in like he'd never been out, I thought Suarez was even better with him on the field. Disagree about Sterling though, he was causing all sorts of problems for a physical Stoke.

Disagree about Sterling though, he was causing all sorts of problems for a physical Stoke. i have been a big critique of sterling but for me best ever game for liverpool and man of the match for me .

Yeah, he's come along very well, looks stronger and never hides, a few more goals would be good, but they'll come.
