first half opening game of the season i thought ohhh nice touches and stuff. but he looks way to small or thin or something - borini style. an amalgamation of the clubs bargain hunting transfer policy and BR's love for small messi/iniesta type players . a philosophical purchase rather than "oh look he is brilliant lets buy him" one.

If you compare him and Alberto you can look at Alberto and say, ok there's something there, with Aspas its hard to see what he offers.
He's a bit like Veronin, sometimes they work out sometimes not.

I rest my case.

Who exactly said he should be written off Marko? In fact I think you'll find a couple of us said that we accept that it takes time.

The problem is that he hasn't had much playing time but when he has played he has offered next to nothing, if that continues, rightly or wrongly he'll be on his way out.

The way I see it, Rodgers simply cannot afford to sign players who don't have an instant impact on the team anymore. Sahin, Assaidi, Allen, Alberto, Aspas, Moses, Cissohko, Borini, Ilori - that list is bloody ridiculous when you consider that only Sturridge, Coutinho & Mingolet have been istant successes (jury still out on Sakho imo). Might have missed a name or two there but it just goes to show that almost all of Rodgers' success has come through improving the players we already had.

Bill Shankly's first signing for Liverpool never kicked a ball for the first time.

Transfers are a lottery, some work, some don't.

I had forgot about him faz.

Transfers are calculated risks, not all of them pay off, same at every club.

Fergie couldn't pick goalies throughout his career.

Sebastien Leto never played for Liverpool in a competitive match because he never got a work permit....so yeah, he understandably had a tough time making an impact for us.
