in fairness he has hardly been in the door. can't really judge him on big games yet. and our performances in those so far have not been too crap. outplayed a lot of big teams..

i think he has done terrific..but his next big signings might make or break him. next level signings.

Don't think it's about motivating his players against bigger teams I think it's more about inexperience or stubborness. My issue with him is that he has one game plan which is death by football as he calls it himself, it works well when the team in front of you is weaker but when you are playing tougher opposition, you need to change and adapt to grind results, even if it is to look for draws. Against City, as soon as they equalised we went all guns out attacking and they scored on a counter. This is the part which he didn't take from Mourinho who is ready to play boring football to get a result, which a lot of people don't like even on this forum. I call it realism and focus on the end result.

I think though that BR is a good manager but still learning his trade, in any case, at that age and not having won anything in the game, we cannot expect more but hope he learns quickly.

sometimes I cant believe what some people post, I know and understand people are desperate for success some of you have to hear yourselves.
we where top on Xmas, we are 4th today, we are winning the games we should, apart 1 or 2 mishaps which every one has. in my humble view we are playing the best football in years, the manager has kept hold of our star striker, and tied him to a long term contract, which in basic terms at least we get good money for him in the summer if he does go. Us fans have confidence in upcoming games instead of thinking every other game is a banana skin (or at least i do). the only problem has been the league is super competative, i think we are where we should be we are running lean and at 100% productivity. yes some do need to step up, like Aspas etc, but these player do need time, he looked decent to me in preseason, and just lacks confidence, personally i find the young lad Alberto a waste of time and completely hopeless.

i think BR will give these guys time in FA cup, the league is just too much to loose, we cant afford to loose any ground.

this season BR has been a breath of fresh air, he's been cool calm and gone about he;s business very well (no embarrasing sky interviews I may add). at this present moment he is the best man for the job and steering the ship in the right direction.

we have always had a better 2nd half of the season, i dont think we have the team to win it but you never know, but im confident of a very good chance of top 4 tho.

someone like Mata would be just amazing, and a left back.

COME ON YOU REDS !!!

Good point Vexed. We have people say that we normally have a good second half of the season because we are out of the race so have nothing to play for, which means we relax and play well. Well, now we have very much something to play for, let see if the theory is true.
