Napoli have made a fresh approach to Liverpool for defender Daniel Agger.Former Reds' boss Rafa Benitez wants to take the out-of-favour centre-back on loan but it is unclear at this time as to whether or not Brendan Rodgers would sanction this and if the player would be up for a move to Serie A.Allowing the 29-year-old to leave on loan wouldn't be a wise move but we believe that the Reds would consider cash offers for a player who we still consider to be the best defender at the club.Agger has started just 8 games this term due to injury and the preferred selection of other players.

I've always liked Agger, still don't understand why he been left out completely.

Seems Sakho and Skrtel are keeping him out the squad. What I don't get, is why we don't give him a go at LB. He has filled in there before and did very well.

I suspect, as with Sakho, BR was resting him prior to the spurs game. I expect Danny might be back against Cardiff with Sakho returning against City.

i think agger has lost it a bit this season and injury and illness has lost him his place , if naples want him well maybe it the best for everyone , either that or agger knuckles down and fights for his place .

John Flanagan has been playing very well at left back, I have been and still remain a doubter of his long term Liverpool credentials but there's no denying he has been in cracking form since coming into the side.

Don't think he can play LB in BR's system where a lot of pace is required to run up and down the field constantly like Johnson does and even Flano has been doing and even scoring from cross not from a set piece. I think he could in a game where we will need to defend a lot.
