Suarez is gonna be a great captain because he is a great lad, unlike those mancs. nope am not the forum police, the forum gets monitored without my help thats why i find it hard to understand people trying to police it, like setting up non footballing topics, quite bizzare. I think a captain needs to be a good role model too, a person who has been found guilty of racism, biting and also a history of cheating and telling lies for me does'nt add up to a role model no matter how good a player he may or may not be. But a player that purposely tries to end another's career is fine? Suarez will be good, great player, lifts the team and is liked. If he goes up even half a gear because he becomes captain, then we'll be singing.

I would agree with you in principle pigeon, but I have always felt that the captain and vc roles were hyped up anyways. If by making him captain, we raise his price, great. Otherwise, we have no idea what he like behind the scenes. All his teammates are full of praise and perhaps he really has had a change of heart.

To be fair, I dont think Suarez would make a good captain anyways. Just because a player is world class and is determined to win....doesnt necessarily make him a good leader...as illogical as it may sound. Also, I can kinda see Cool's point on this (for once!), I'm still not going to forget how Suarez treated us in the summer...so to give him the armband, no matter how good he is, seems a little bit wrong to me. Although his attempt to jump ship hurt,i think we need to stay focused on the reasons why a top player wants to leave us.

Have to say again, City really bashed Spurs yesterday, can’t see many teams taking points off them at home this season, if we can get outa there with a point it’ll be the achievement of the season for us. We need to whup Spurs ass today I feel, as it’ll be hard to get anything off Chelsea at home either!

So do you have any shred of evidence to suggest the players don't like him? Probably not and you'll probably ignore this just like you did in another thread when asked for evidence.
You speak like you know the fella personally. Just stick to what you know and that is his football and what he does on the pitch.
