I think he will play against Arsenal because he is more mobile than Skrtel. We have had lots of different defenders playing this season already. Skrtel, Agger, Toure, Johnson, Cissokho, Kelly, Enrique and Wisdom have all played.

It says a lot that players are being trusted to do a job even when others are fit and ready to play. Enrique might even get back in at Arsenal. What is important is at the moment we have virtually everyone fit. Another is that we are playing to a plan and that players know their jobs. It looks like good performances are being rewarded and that we can play different formations depending on who has been selected.

Everyone is getting a chance which means that planning to play us and beat us must be difficult. Agger will get his chance again and possibly Coutinho will be on the bench Saturday. Moses is the latest to drop out of a starting position along with Enrique. And the results keep coming. Last season at this time we had automatic starting places for Sterling Wisdom Allen and Downing. Now like a boxer with a bit of ring craft about him the manager is selecting a team to go and win a game and once selected the players seem to appreciate the need to perform well and are embracing that challenge. That is what will rope in other players and shows we are probably only a couple of players short of challenging for top 4.

This Saturday sees our biggest challenge away from home v an in form team. In the past that would have meant a win was out of the question but we are on form ourselves and a win is very possible.

Good post. I agree, Agger's mobility and game IQ make him more suited to this game. It is nice that we have options and that we can play specific players for specific games now. We are a much more complete team than we were last season.

If you were in his position at his age, and you werent getting games, you wouldnt blame him for wanting to go else where. I see nothing wrong with his comments. Agger is as loyal as they come who would do anything for the club, but if he's made to feel as though he isnt needed by the manager, obviously he has to think of himself and his career. That being said, that isnt even the case. People need to grow a set of balls and stop being a bunch of whining bellends.
