I read that Agger is considering leaving in Jan if he does not get to start games.

I am rather surprised that BR is leaving him out in favour of Sakho and Skrtel.

After all, he is the Vice Captain as well

Daniel Agger has warned Liverpool that he will not think twice about leaving the club if he does not regain his place in the team.

The Danish defender started the first three Premier League games of the season, but Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has since preferred to name Kolo Toure, Martin Skrtel and £17m-signing Mamadou Sakho in a back-three formation.

Agger has previously stated his commitment to Liverpool amid reported interest from Barcelona, but has now admitted that he will be forced to leave Anfield if he does not return to the starting XI soon.

"If I don't play, if the manager doesn't think I'm good enough, that could make me leave Liverpool," he told reporters.

"I'm here to play football, nothing else. So if I don't play football then I don't want to be here any more."

The 28-year-old, who has not started a Liverpool match since their 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace on October 5, signed a contract extension with the Merseyside outfit last year.

What a attitude to have. Every club needs compitition for places, if our vice captin can't handle that then he can go. We've plenty of cover in that position and we don't need anyone within attitude like that. But saying that it doesn't sound like something Agger would say.

I thought he was injured can't understand why he is not playing

Maybe BR realised that 2 left footed centre backs isn't working.

Maybe he's trying to let every player in the squad know that they need to fight every day to keep there place in the team. It's no use having players that believe that are automatic starters no matter what they do.

He should play instead of Skyrtel at Arsenal.

If the current defenders are playing well then he'll have to wait his turn. Anyway, I'm not reading too much into this. Just paper talk to stir the [oops].

absolute bullshiiit, why people believe this stuff is beyond me. do you really think he would have meant that? a few weeks after being named vice captain?

whoever ran that story doesn't have any real news to report on, so they spun this to fit their agenda, which is selling papers/ driving traffic. open your eyes.

Agreed. I think he deserves to play though.
