Medals aside (if ye can say that)
He couldve been a great at Liverpool but now he'll have no legacy anywhere.

A bit part player at most?

Is it safe to assume that you aren't talking about John Terry....?

It's an odd one with Torres. Some players lose their pace or touch after a bad injury or due to age. Neither apply to FT. There is no reason why he dipped so badly and no reason why he couldn't regain what he once had. Bizarre.

Not at all. I wasn't having a go at you.
It was a rhetorical question/statement.

Just hate the vile get with a passion as I still think back to the distress it caused amongst many fans at the time, especially the younger fans who idiolised the lying moody nasty little slithery slimey creep, and the ones that had just been bought a replica shirt for crimbo 4 weeks earlier. mad

I dont really begrudge him anymore as I know we never really lost out. The Torres we had was gone even before we sold him, he was definitely on the decline way before he went to Chelsea.

Excellent.
Apart from the anger I feel every time I see his name and therefore feel obliged to post accordingly, you are correct.

I thought his scratch at vertonghen summed him up as a player. He's now a rat donning the plastic's shirt. All previous respect for him has gone down the drain.

Seems a bit over the top. At the end of the day, he was an employee who did a good job for us, fancied a move and gave us a very healthy profit. It's an added bonus that he's been poor ever since and we haven't missed him. It's not worth taking personally.
