What do you think Liverpool need to put together a realistic push for the title?

Are we 3 or 4 players away from being able to compete for the title? I think with three quality players, Striker, dm,am we could be a real force in the league. Some will say that we need new owners and new management before we could challenge again.

1 player is all we end for the title

Pete: Berg, I'm just not cut out to be a good person.
Berg: I know. That's why the Lord gave us good looks.

For the title we would also need a top level/very good back up goalkeeper, and a quality right winger in addition to the three you list above boxmonkey, imo.
For top 4, I think we could make it with your additions above, providing they’re quality and hit the ground running, and that’s assuming we’re still in touch by Jan.

Two very good points, we do need another keeper and winger. If FSG release £50m over the next two windows plus any money from players sold, we could fill most of those positions. My biggest worry is if we dont make top four we will have to replace Suarez and fill those positions. That would be tough job.

Yes replacing Suarez would seem to be a given, and possibly Coutinho and Sturridge if he maintains his current form, you can be sure there’ll be plenty in for all three of them. What I sometimes wonder is do FSG ever think of the consequences of failing to make top 4 when they’re signing players?

I think Sturridge and Coutinho would give us a bit more time! But you never know in football.

We certainly need a few additions before we can think of a serious title assault but I have a gut feeling that Brendan Rodgers will be the manager under whose leadership it will happen. I hope I'm not mistaken on this one.

Well looking at the table at the moment, one would be led to believe we don't need any more signings, but I think a top notch DM and AM are our priorities, followed by a striker.

We need a midfielder e.g. Bender Bayer, an attacking player e.g. Holtby or that Ukranian guy that ran through Englands midfield. Our midfield is not good enough and we get overrun at times.

Who's that then? Best have a word with him/her Marko.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.
