Oh come on. He's not half the player he was this time last season.

You can blame the 17 year old if you want but for me that just lets BR off the hook.

I remember watching one of them things on sky about Fergie and Giggs said that when he was young, Fergie was waiting for him at at his house when he came home from a night out and read him the riot act.

Just my opinion (not a fact) but just don't think that BR has got that in him.

BR is at the helm of one of the biggest clubs in the world and his only credentials are that he brought Swansea into the Premiership. Not exactly a resounding CV is it?

what were Fergie's credentials like when he took over at united?

Not really a valid point as the league and the expectancy of Man U at that time was very different.

The real question is what are Moyes's credentials for taking over at Man U........

No doubt a question being asked on many a Man U forum.

Was it really? Because I feel that having not won the league for twenty odd years, our expectancy is the same as united's was at that time, to try and stabilize the ship and make a challenge and improve...I don't think anyone realistically expected us to win the league when Rodgers was appointed. I feel we expected him to steady the ship and improve us on and off the pitch, which I feel he has done.

Actually I think he has done an exceptionally good job.

The way I see it is that Sterling is a little Bertie big Bollox . Too worried about his hair and stuff and not football. He gets a lucrative new contract and an England cap and he turns [oops]. It could be that Rodgers isn't strong enough with him but I can't say for sure.

Hmmmm, na. Fergie was appointed by a chairman that wanted the best for the club. BR has been appointed by owners that want the best for the Balance Sheet.

You have documented yourself well in these forums regarding BR's ability and as far as balancing the books you are absolutely correct.

But for others, including myself, that's not how I judge a manger.

Exactly my point as well. I'd be much happier if BR had a track record of being able to handle a talent like Sterling and others that come through.

With Walcott, definitely. There's no reason at all why he should have been there over the likes of Wright Philips.

But anyway, the thread is about BR, not Theo
