If U really think about it, outside of the back line what other options did he have. I personally would of went with the midfield of Stevie Lucas and Alberto. The midfield did not control the game in no way shape or form. I don't even blame Sturbridge because he had nothing coming to him and had to drift wide to get the ball.
There was no need to play Sakho as a full back and what was he thinking when he bought Aspas and even Alberto who were not only poor as others but were invisible, no contribution whatsoever. Gerrard cannot play all the games and for England, he should have known this, what is his fallback position?
