Well, BR could have moved Hendo in the middle (where he has started a number of games already) and play Aspas on the right wing isn't it? I think he didn't do it when Aspas came on because with Wisdom at the back our right flank would have been too weak and vulnerable. BR avtually moved Aspas on the right when Kolo replaced Wisdom, but Aspas was still lost, I think he will struggle big time against the physical side of the EPL.

Aspas played in our pre season games and in 4 games in the league, players like Eriksen and Ozil (ok I am unfair here as he is a proven star) have already shown their worth in the first few minutes of their game, same with Moses yesterday who didn't play a competitive game for months. It's fine to hope, but, you cannot prevent people to say what they have seen.

The truth is... Shelvey was incredibly lucky on his first goal... he tripped over the ball twice and got two lucky bounces that allowed his final shot. The second goal was poor defending collectively... mainly because we invited them on to us. That was an experimental back four and we did well to come away with a point.

No need for the name calling and insulting other posters by calling them stupid, though Kop.
For myself I posted my concerns on our 'experimental defense' as you rightly term it, prior to the game and I’ve avoided any direct criticism of them since, because for me it was an whole team failure, and mostly at midfield imo.
You say we did well to come away with a point, I disagree, we were very, very lucky to come away with a point. We were gifted the two goals, we didn’t create them, in fact we created nothing all night, and a better team than Swansea would have banged in at least two more on top of what they got. In trying to defend last night’s performance you’re trying to defend the indefensible, particularly the second half.
Regarding Sakho I’m prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt, and a chance to prove himself over a number of games, which I hope he will do.
My jury is still out on Aspas also, but I’ve noted a number of, to say the least, indifferent performances, he needs to step up.
Moses looks to be a gem, hope he keeps it up, we need the kind of quality he showed us in a big way.

Can someone that goes to Anfield please tell why When Aspas has been subed the crowd have given him a standing ovation? This doesn't happen with every player so he must have done something right. It now seems most people on here think he's absolute dog [oops] now.

Ive seen players that have been substituted with a bare ripple of applause, actually I've been to Anfield about 50 times and only some players have been given a standing ovation by the whole ground with enthusiastic cheers and applause. Maybe it's just his work rate that people appreciate bur Aspas does have something that people like. Dirk was loved by the supporters not because he was very good but because he always gave 100%

looking at the big picture it is not about 1 player, defense is mostly about organisation not just individual skill, when 2 defenders change (on of them is the leader) and the new guys are an inexperienced player and another who just came from a different league it was a sign of trouble, also losing Cotinho made us lose control of the game, if we had Suarez he would have dropped a little to hold the ball.

top of the league without our best player and a recently completed team, I will take that thank you.

The big picture would show a team that created nothing in 90+ min’s and that fell apart under a sustained attack from Swansea in the 2nd half. The big picture also shows a distinct tendency to do that in the 2nd half in most of our recent games. The big picture also shows a lack of quality replacements in key positions.
I’ll also take the top of the table, EastMan, but I obviously see a different picture.
