I would only drop Skittles if Toure is available. I would not drop him for Sakho. SAKHO IS A BEAST, but he is also left footed, as is Agger. Two left footed cb's on the pitch at the same time spells trouble to me, unless we are playing with 3 CB's. so why is it two right footed defenders can play to together but two left footed players cant? seems odd to me

Something in me is saying play sakho or Lori in dm. The problem would be if they can pass well. I think skrtle should be benched he has done well for us but he's struggling with the system.

Of course you drop Skrtel. He still doesn't fit the system. He still isn't comfortable on the ball.
He is a really good defender on his day, but he can't do the other things Brendan wants in the system. A huge part of the reason Skrtel did so well against United was because he didn't have to think about doing those other things. Typically British 2 banks of 4. Dogged defending. That's why he played well. If you ask Skrtel to do those other things again, even against lesser teams like Swansea and Southampton, he will probably serve up a brain-fart and cost us points. Our 2 best defenders are Agger and Sakho. Play them.

Definitely drop Skrtel. Waiting for Skrtel to screw up before giving his place away is a stupid idea, why would you wait around for something that will happened sooner or later when you can preempt his mistakes and play Sakho.
Agger & Sakho will be our main CBs this season I think. It's not that much of a problem playing two left footed CBs, it will be more to do with Sakho's ability to play RCB, not which foot he plays with. Others have pointed out that two right footed CBs are used all the time without many issues, besides, do you really think we would have spent all that money on someone who BR wasn't sure about positionally? No, obvs not!

It's interesting how some people are certain Skrtel shouldn't be dropped whilst others are adamant he should be & others even want to see him sold. Opinions obviously split on this one.
I just feel a performance that good should always be rewarded, sends a positive message to the squad if nothing else.

I think if we got 10-12 mil for him I'd sell him. He would still be 3rd at best in my list of centre backs. I would have Toure certainly ahead of him but I'll wait to see Sahko play a few games before I make a serious judgement on him
He had a great game last week but he doesn't look entirely comfortable on the ball and he has been bullied by physical forwards in the past. Skrtel would be sold even below that, he is on high wages after extending his contract last year. Whether he should be dropped or not will depend on how Sakho is performing, starting in training. I cannot see Sakho sitting on the bench after we paid so much for him, he is our most expensive defender and also the most expensive BR signing.
