We did the same as we did at villa away, got a lead and limited them to scraps. We limited the league champions to scraps!!!. How many teams are capable of doing that to utd?? We had a plan and we executed it brilliantly. How anyone can see negative in that result is beyond me.

We can play the pretty football when it is needed and don't worry about that we will  We are not as good as them, but today we were smarter and as it stands we are 9 from 3. How do you like them apples?

I guess Plan B for liverpool is to say to the opposition - try and break us down if you can.
Real happy with the win and the desire of the players. I have said a great defense wins you games and so far we have been slightly better than last season. Desire and work ethic is the key.
When Sakho gets up to speed, we will have a meaner defense. add in the speed of Illori, the commanding presence of Toure and ball playing skills of Agger, we have quite a strong line up defensively.
Stern test up next against Swansea.

Rodgers is going a great job. He is getting the most out of players and getting us to play as a team. Which is why it's so frustrating he is not getting the backing. The squad is painfully light and lacking in quality despite the results this season. FSG should back the man with a decent budget and let's see where that takes us. How do you know he isn't?! And that he has, to date, refused to spend it all. There is a time and a place for criticisms. Within an hour of beating our rivals might just be a record. Was really annoyed with BR last season especially at the start when he would play Tiki Taka, no matter what, even when we didn't have the right players. Pleasantly surprise afterwards especially this season when he is adapting to the team we are playing against. I think we are not far and an extra mile FSG backing, I would say a solid top midfield player might do the trick. I am worried when Lucas and Stevie are not fit.

Agreed! I think Allen is too light weight to play there. Actually don't know where to put him atm, but on the sidelines. Can he already be on his way out maybe? But Touré can play as a DM too, which is good for us! Now that we get 2 more defenders in (Ilori and Sakho) there is a good chance we might see Kolo playing some games in midfield IMO.

Moses, Sakho, and Ilori were all at the game, so hopefully that means they sign tomorrow.

I'm not sure about Allen either. Henderson is giving us a bit of drive and physicality in midfield so I def wouldn't want him being replaced by another tiny player. I'm not overly excited about Moses coming in but he will def add some bulk in the attacking third.
