Rodgers is doing fantastic. I just keep thinking that if we had Martinez instead we would have set our sights a bit lower than kolo Sturridge coutinho etc.
And ended up with kone and Alcaraz
I couldn't be happier wih our manager right now.

Rodgers is going a great job. He is getting the most out of players and getting us to play as a team. Which is why it's so frustrating he is not getting the backing. The squad is painfully light and lacking in quality despite the results this season. FSG should back the man with a decent budget and let's see where that takes us. agree. arsenal are hesitant; Man Utd; Chelsea & Man City all have new managers and face some certainty. With the great Jan transfer window we had, and with BR having a full season behind him, now was the time to consolidate our position with quality additions to the squad. Even more so if we want to really capitalise on our dream start and retain Suarez into next season an beyond. Let's hope we pull a rabbit out of the hat by 11pm tomorrow.

'We should have made a signing or two in the last couple of transfer windows.' Vish

Good result... but we won't keep getting away with playing like this. need some strength and quality up the pitch to keep the opposition from being able to attack easily and so often. need to give them something to think about/deal with... which will hopefully result in a 2nd goal. Yea one of the top teams might punish.....oh wait Haha! Good on 'ya Hendo!

Brendan Rodgers paid tribute to the resolve of his Liverpool side following their 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Anfield.
Daniel Sturridge scored the only goal of Sunday's game after just four minutes as the Reds went top of the Premier League with a third straight win.
Manchester United enjoyed a lot of possession but Liverpool held firm to keep their perfect defensive record intact, and Rodgers was keen to stress after the match that it was his players' attitude that helped them at the back.
"Our mentality was key. We didn't play as well as we have and Manchester United played some really good football, but our defensive mentality gets better all the time," he told Sky Sports.
"The resolve we have in the group was evident."
With Liverpool's extra-time cup win over Notts County taken into account, the Reds have won four from four this season.
"The players have been outstanding," Rodgers added.
"We worked hard in pre-season to get this start. We have four from four and we are getting the rewards for how hard we're working.
"I am so proud of them."
Rodgers' joy was certainly shared by the Liverpool owner, John W Henry.
"Terrific win; terrific start for the season. What a match! Poised and smart play against United. Team effort, superb desire," the American wrote on Twitter.

Great start to the season and I think we are showing signs of becoming a decent side; however, while i wouldn't describe any of our wins this season as lucky each one of them could easily have ended as a draw. i like our mentality though, we just need to maintain that belief when the goings gets tough in the latter part of games.
A couple of new players over 5'6 with shoulders wider than my nans would also help

Great result! BR's certainly got a solidified 'group'.
I'm in no way writing United off, but do you get the feeling they're not coping with Fergie retiring. As nervous as I was, I never thought they'd score in the last 5 minutes as they've done so so often. They look like they've really lost some impeteus.
We really need Suarez back, Sturridge was isolated for too long in the match & Aspas hasn't cut it so far.
Looks like Sakho and LLori are signing so we've a fantastic back-line with cover. Just need a LW. Even Moses would add to the squad pretty well I think.
Not getting carried away but 3 1-0's, United stuttering, new signings and Luis to return.
