So it looks as though we have now missed out on Willian. This will be the third time this summer we've lost out on our no.1 target.
The club have made some very good signings this summer and in January, but it seems when we go in for the more high profile players we lose out due to our unwillingness to offer the selling club enough money or the player enough money.
If this window closes and we haven't made a big summer signing that could give us a major boost to fourth place, it would be a massive missed opportunity. The club need to look at their recruitment policy because I'm losing faith in the current regime's ability to move the club forwards.
If this continues we will lose our best players, as they will see us as a stepping stone club.
We have ten days left to save the season. Sorry to be dramatic.

30 million is a bit much for him. I would rather us go for Aderweild and Erikson before things wrap up, to be honest.

There is still time to buy a couple of players, but are they the players BR wanted?

It does seem a lot of money for him and I don't know how good he is but it is worrying. I hope we had a back up plan.
The thing that really pisses me off is that it's [oops] Spurs again! They let everyone else do the leg work then nip in at the last minute! I hope they sell Bale then it all falls apart and they win [oops] all. It's all they deserve for their sly underhand dealings in my eyes.

If we got Spurs to pay 35 million for him instead of 28, that's ok by me. I think we'll get a good attacker and a CB before the window closes. Whether or not they sign him depends largely on Bale though, I think.

AVB tried to sign Willian last summer for spurs and the year before with Chelsea, so maybe he always had the upper hand. Three public transfers missed out on though is embarrassing.

Sorry to be dramatic. its impossible to have 3 number 1 targets, we have alternatives, thats the whole point. we will have someone else in mind....probably mess that one up too but no one can blame them for choosing spurs theyare building something special at the moment.

Good point! That means we've missed out on our 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice players. On to 4th I suppose
