I think you'll find it was Dunk who encouraged everyone to use the notify button - I've seen him post about it numerous times.
Dunk created the tittle tattle culture that the mods have to deal with.
Ask him. encouraged to use it. not misuse it. No. He didn't like us taking it into our own hands when people were acting up / trolling - instead report everything and let the mods deal with it. No wonder the mods keept jumping ship, must have been crap baby sitting this place.

What I dont understand is why is there so much hate? We are all reds after all, its not like we need a notify button or trolls. How did this situation get to the point where people are willing to leave the site because of it?

No wonder the mods keept jumping ship, must have been crap baby sitting this place. well tbh mods had no power to deal with anything, we just kept an eye so there was nothing to be saved with regards to workload for Dunk, all suspensions etc had to be dealt with by him anyway. in some ways the AUP and the notify button cleaned up a lot of shiite that was going on during the time it was promoted. but people have their own minds, no one is made to think or at a certain way and unfortunately there are some who have got carried away with it and don't see what damage they are now doing. i find it hard to come on and listen to petty squabbling, pc brigades, and fun police. its gas, its not even the troll who is doing the damage (worst troll ever by the way), it is being done by a few regular users.

I was away for a few days a while back and didn't check my mail, there was about 30 or 40 notifications, mostly from 2 users squabbling, not 1 notification was worth referring to the boardroom for Dunk to view, that is misuse of the option

I was away for a few days a while back and didn't check my mail, there was about 30 or 40 notifications, mostly from 2 users squabbling, not 1 notification was worth referring to the boardroom for Dunk to view, that is misuse of the option Jesus that cant be..... that many seriously?? Just two guys??  I havent hit that button once, am I missing something? Am I not noticing some sort of underlying abuse?
