Yeah that's true, if we lose our best player then we will suffer also.

Having said that I will be amazed if he's still here at the close of the transfer window.

I think he could be but January will eventually rear its ugly head.
Then again if stubborn spurs keep bale real could come knocking

Whilst the league table does not lie, and I can see how judging by that table, one could easily believe they have a better squad, a league table does not only reflect squad quality, but also club stability, ownership, management and mismanagement and coaching.

So if we look at that table, and then take into account Hicks and Gillet, Roy Hodgson, new owners, Kenny, and now BR, it is easy to see why we might have finished below spurs. Whilst they had mainly stability, we were making waves.

However, we are now enteringour period of stability, a good manager, a fantastic style of play and what I believe is a very good strategy.

So, whilst Spurs have finished above us lately, I do believe we could see us overtake them very very soon and that the league standings over the past 4 or 5 years have been a reflection of not so much our squad quality as to our overall situation at the club.

United definately does not have a better quality squad than City, yet they beat them to the title.

I understand what you are saying we are progressing as a whole, however at present we are not better than spurs. Season after season we need to improve and sign top players, and hopefully within 3-4 years we can get back into the top do you agree?

Nobody on here is a blind faither, some people just try to be positive and look for ways forward. The fact is FSG are not willing to spend big on players which is what we all want. Everyone wants us to go out and spend big but the fact is FSG are not willing to do so. You might as well give up watching and supporting LFC because everything you put is that we should spend as much as others when we just arnt going to, every is defeatist and negitive. You also seem to mock the clubs motto of YNWA and insult other views for surggesting there is any other way forward than spend, spend, spend big.
I dont have that much faith in FSG but bashing the club and supporters views doesnt help. You should be behind the team no matter what, at the moment it seems like your only intrested when its all going well.

the team and the club itself are two different entities , i guarantee now on here in this forum if liverpool dont beat celtic and then draw against stoke , the call for rodgers out will be massive , liverpool have played pretty well in pre season and some have still found cause to have a go at the team , i think the celtic game will be a tough game due to them being a few weeks ahead , but liverpool will beat stoke , but the calls for benitez will be back if liverpool dont win , and sorry but thats the worst sort of stuff to post .

I agree stanley Park, some people on here have nothing good to say though even about the team. Our signings are poor the team is rubbish, other teams are better ect. ect.
I dont have too much faith in FSG because i believe that there more intrested in cutting costs than anything but i wouldnt bash the team and player because of it.
