I think it has more to do with CL football, the growth in the German League and Dortmund's position in it, and the difficulty negotiating with the third-party owners... I don't see how missing out on a player most people didn't give two looks at in the first-place is now a big deal. We will have other targets, let's see where we go from here and moan/revel in whatever happens when it does.

Personally i feel losing out on HM is a fairly big deal, not because of who's at fault or the reasoning behind it, but rather because he seemed like the perfect piece for this puzzle we are trying to solve. HOWEVER, i am sure we do have an alternative lined up and am hoping it will be someone who will prove just as good for us.

the problem with missing out on your no.1 target (because we didn't match what Dortmund would pay) is that we will now move our attention to no.2 on our list which by definition will be a step down in quality.

Dont go to Rugby Stan. Have u ever thought of following a club in another League? To be honest i think you would like my second club, Lazio, owners love the fans and run the club to the fan liking, granted some of our fans are huge racist asssholes but our players are always loyal, actually i bet you wont ever find more than 1 instance of a player forcing a move from Lazio, always the clubs call we never let our players act the cuunt.

Nah Lazio are ok maybe to cynical and realistic in terms of how the club is run but ruthless nonetheless. Plus some good players to

Not sure if we offered more money than Dortmund but on the 'Latest LFC News' on this site I read that we didn't match the Dortmund bid despite HM wanting to come to us. You can say that FSG or BR thought that he is not worth it, but, if i am not mistaken, Dortmund is one of the clubs (if not THE CLUB) you wanted us to copy when it comes to buying players, they were apparently identifying very good players and were not overpaying for them. On top of that if we cannot spend a little bit more than 20m £ on our top target, I don't know what our ambition looks like, no wonder Suarez would like to run.

Now if you still want to believe in FSG, it's your right.
