Sign as many world class players as you can and then we can start to think about competing. Not 2nd/3rd and 4th rate nobodies.
Only a few years ago we had 5: Reina, Gerrard, Masch, Alonso and Torres.
At the moment we have 3: Reina, Gerrard and Suarez. Lets use all our budget to get in another 1 or 2 then we have a chance.
Rather than increasing the amount of world class players we seem intent on reducing them. IF Reina and Suarez depart then we only have an ageing Gerrard who is of the required standard.
We are Liverpool FC NOT Reading, so lets start thinking like third most successful club in the history of world football should be thinking.
Fans getting excited about an unknown Armenian from the Ukraine is galling. Not that long ago we signed Torres who was the most sought after young player in Europe.
FSG and Brent have done a remarkable PR job at lowering expectations(while increasing ticket prices). They are destroying this great club and it is like watching a car crash in slow motion.

Absolutely agree. I dont give 2 shiits that we can get Johnny on the left wing from Club A for 12 million and he'll be good in 4 years, I want to sign Jimmy on the right wing from Club B for 20 million and he'll be good straight away. We beat around the bush far to often.

Just because YOU have never heard of Mkhitaryan does not make him 'unknown', it just undermines your post and makes it look rather silly.

Remeber Michu nobody had heard of him untill last season and he was 5th top goal scorer. Your right we did have Reina, Gerrard, Masch, Alonso and Torres but we still didnt win the league. We dont have a winning formula to follow so id rather bring a few un heard of players with potential instead of bringing in one known player.

I expect an announcement in a few months time that we couldn't tie up the deal before deadline day.
