Because that was the popular decision at the time...it was not based on fact or evidence, but probability. That decision was made to appease the public, the public who were influenced by the media. So the MEDIA have a huge role to play. WHoever tries to tell me otherwise should try and experience it on their own skin.

I don't really think it's wise to re-open that debate. It's been done to death.

The bottom line is, yes, I agree that he has been treated unfairly and disproportionately by the media, but he IS, at times, his own worst enemy, and particularly in this latest biting incident, he has nobody to blame but himself.

Reports flying around that Madrid will meet Suarez 40m release clause. Too cheap in my opinion.

40mil is a bit cheap for a 30 goal a season player there are not many capapable of doing that he will not be replaced for that by all means if he wants to go we should demand as much as we can get. Everyone knows you will not get a player from Spurs on the cheap we need to be more ruthless when selling a player. The club deserve more than 15mil profit on what they paid on him.(Lose 20mil on Carroll and gain 15 on Suarez still a loss on the combined deal)

We can no longer claim to be aiming to try qualify for the CL if we never keep any world class players (Gerrard being the exception for obious reasons).I believe the club should make an example of Suarez after all he owes them if the club get top money and think they improve they side then sell if not tell him to F off and honour his contract he shouldn't have signed it if he won't honour it.

if suarez want to stay then stay , but all this nonsense about the press etc etc is a smoke screen i believe , he has used liverpool as a stepping stone and a few people not just on this forum but in many other outlets have said and i 100% agree let concentrate on the players who want to play for Liverpool F.C. the courtinio's of the LFC world who are the future .

In 24 hours Suarez has said he'd struggle to turn down Real, his agent's said he's happy at #LFC & now Suarez is considering his future.

According to balague, suarez is now considering his future. Think there is something in this whole real thing myself, I think he's going, just a case of agreeing the fee. Also think it was a clever ploy saying he was happy with us. This would stop anyone else potentially bidding for him and disrupting the negotiations with madrid.

The team would be worse off without Suarez but the Club would be better off, people need to decide what's the most important.

He's on his bike. And who can blame him ? One of the best players in the world sticking with a club that can't even qualify for the Europa league. It's been a privilege to see him play for the club

i have no problem if he speaks the truth , because LFC are rebuilding after years of failure , bt to come out with this nonsense about the press is a total joke , its not like he is mr squeaky clean is he ???

My own personal view is that suarez is a phenomenal footballer but a complete liability. Ivanovic incident was the straw that broke the camels back for me. If the money gained from selling him was spent well, then I think we would be better off without him also.
