We could do a lot worse. I'd probably go for Benteke and Michu with the money we get for Suarez. If we get 50mil we could probably get enough for Benteke, Michu and maybe even Wanyama. Our squad as a whole would look much stronger.

Touching on the subject of loaning players, I would in my personal opinion prefer to scrap the reserve team and loan players out. Reasons are:

1) gives youth players a chance to experience competitive games in front of big crowds to cope with the added pressure.
2) better way to judge them as if struggle in another club then it would cause the doubt if they could do it for Liverpool
3) if they do perform then this will increase their value.

We've got some cracking youth players at the moment - love the fact that they're getting a run too.

So many calls over the years about not giving youth a chance (Ince comes to mind..) Rodders has no qualms about giving them a run out, if deemed good enough.

If you're good enough, you're old enough - as they say.

Strange thread this.

If there are any lessons to learn from this season, its that we need, first and foremost, two top notch central defenders. If we do that and can keep Suarez, the top four will be very likely next season.

Players bringing out autobiographies. Does this bug the sh*t out of anyone else? It used to be that players released one at the end of a long successful/eventful career, and that was it. Now you have every nothing footballer bringing one out after a season or two in top flight football, it's gotten ridiculous!!

What got me thinking this was, I was in a book shop today and I caught a glimpse of an autobiography of Chicarito. I mean, for f*cksake!!!

I would agree Bar, I mean players still have a lot of their career left to go and should wait until the end of their playing days to document the expirence. This leads to players taking out another autobiography and milking the fans for more money. However have you ever read Torres' autobiography? It's rivetting IMO. It's sorta like the first half of a movie where everything is going the protagonist's way and his career basically went to sh!t after it. I really hope he brings out another one and this would be the one exception to a player bringing out an autobiography early.

Pete: Berg, I'm just not cut out to be a good person.
Berg: I know. That's why the Lord gave us good looks.

Read Stevies, read Carras & read Robbies... sigh*
The hell did these even come out while they were still playing??? Glad I never forked over for them, average at best. (Fowler's was as repetitive as Mein Kampf - both boring as hell)

Tony Adams "Addicted" can't be beat.
