So let's say, at the moment, we sign perhaps 1 or 2 10 million rated players for the 1st team, and sign another 3-4 top top rated youngsters in the age group of 15-19, would this be a sign of intent in your eyes?

I have noticed that we have an incredible collection of youthful talent at the moment and we are being linked with even more, for example, Sergi Canos, as koptalk is reporting.

If it became clear, that we are trying to assemble a team, in the 15-19 age group, that could play together, develop as a squad, and in 7-8 years make up the first team squad, would you be happy with that?

Would you give FSG more time in that case? I am just wondering.

Looking at the young players we have, it bodes well for our future.

Sokolik, Teixeira, Ngoo, Lussey, Nacho, Adorjan, Morgan, Robinson, Ibe, McLaughlin, Wisdom, Sinclair, Yesil, Coady, Sterling and Suso... That's 16 players who are absolutely in the top 10% of their age groups.. It shows a very ambitious project for teh future is developing at LFC. Look at Coutinho as well, he's what, 21? The next 50-10 years could be a lot brighter than we think...

Really??? says who?

It's the kind of project you would associate with a small club with very little money who have no option but to gamble on youth. But how oftend do these gambles on youngsters really pay off? ever since houllier, we seem to spend as much on youth/depth as we do in trying to strengthen the first team. No wonder we've fallen on lean times.

Carheex? Do you see where it says HYPOTHETICALLY?
Also, Arsenal do it and it's worked for them. Perhaps they aren't winning titles but they are regulars in the CL...and they are not a small club.

Those players mentioned who are the so-called future stars just got thrashed by man utd's future stars. Maybe I was right and they aren't in the top 10% for their age group after all....

Generally utd s youth policy has always delivered better than ours right back to the 70,s. Liverpool, (when we were successful) used to buy lower league players and bring them on rather than our youth system.

What other option do I have??

One of those so-called future stars, Suso, has some 1st team games under his belt.....and he looked just about as average as you can get. If he's the best of that bunch then NO WAY are they in the top 10% for their age, and the future 'they most certainly are not'.

Actually i thought Suso looked dresu When he played...he also captained the spain U21's to a 3-1 win...if he's good enough to captain the Spain u21's he must have some talent. I mean surely the Spanish have some reason as to why he was chosen to captain the u21's....I trust their judgement.

More importantly I saw him when he played for usbat the beginning of the season and to me he looked great, especially technically!

Carheex the team that played Man U was not the full team, they scored two dubious penalty's as well. Quite a lot of players were missing. If we had all the players that could of played we could of walk it.

Players Missing/could of played

Sokolik, Ngoo, Lussey, Nacho, McLaughlin, Wisdom, Sinclair, Yesil, Sterling, Shelvey and Suso. Even Henderson could og played
