Did you get the strange sense that something ended that day in 89 against Arsenal Faz..It's hard to explain but you kinda felt that things were never gonna be the same again..horrible feeling i'll never forget. a massive part the club died on the 15th of april 1989 , but the decline started at villa park in 1990 the things that went on after that !!! yep I always felt that Palace semi was the watershed, it's like we lost our invincible tag and teams really started to have a proper go at us. I can tell you one thing for certain about that day, that was the day our vulnerability of defending set pieces in the air was exposed until the day we signed big Sami about 10 years or so later, major problem between that time which cost us dearly over the years.

Ok Dortmund lost to Freiberg at the start of the season and Munich won back the title off them, so going by Faz and Stan's logic if Dortmund never win a league again will they say in 20 years time "It was all Lewandowskis fault we haven't won in years, if he had converted that 89 minute penalty at Freiberg we'd be still on top", no, THEY WONT. And even if they did, Lewandowski got them to the Champions League final!! My god the old timers on here are actually cracked in the head! Ok I understand in 89 when we lost to Arsenal some part of Liverpool FC did remain on the pitch and die that day, but to say one game is the down fall of our history is nothing short of deluded.

It's also a pointless waste of time.
That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

But you are getting me wrong I never said our decline is due to one game. I watched every game back in those days and cracks were appearing all over no one will convince me otherwise.

If reds don't think that semi final v Crystal palace was not a turning point as the start of the decline then sadly deluded , and I don't know what borussia dortmund have to do with it ?
