Every team below Everton SHOULD be below Everton. The only exceptions, and these are debateable, are us and newcastle. Moyes has done nothing out of the ordinary. To support from stance on this, I've been reading quite a few fansites and listened to a lot of phone-ins....the majority of Everton fans aren't bothered that Moyes is going - many are quite happy about it. And nearly all Man Utd fans are very unimpressed that they are getting Moyes.

spot on.
not many tears on merseyside and the bunting is not out in Manchester either. In fact alot of the blues feel Moyes is tactically nieve and his strength being uniting average players, man for the big occasion he is not.Always seems to fluff his lines when in great positions. Reemember qualifying for the champs league but getting hammered 5-0 in the first leg against romanian minnows - many a blue not forget that night.

Also, love 'em or hate 'em, Utd play attacking and entertaining football at any cost. Moyes's Everton play appalling stoke-like football and grind out results. Granted, this could be down to inferior players but it could also be Moyse's way of doing things.
Fergie gets a lot of things right but is also prone to occasional lapses of judgement. His recommendations of Moyes could well fall into the latter category (with a bit of luck!)

there is a touch of the Hodgsons about the appointment of Moyes. Many a journo said similar things, better plares and resources means he should be able to express himself - or stick to the same old plan which has served him well over the last 11yrs.
neck braces a plenty at OT for next season.

.....incoming!!!!!

Just think of the talent he'll be able to buy with all the resources and we all know he knows talent and so does Fergie, think it can be a deadly combination though.

moyes teams defend brilliant and the players look scared of not performing - mad determination. a lot like fergie then

They don't have reasonable resources though Car, they are £50 million in debt and he gets what? £6 million a season. I also don't understand what relevance being a big club has if you can't bring in anyone. There are managers and clubs who spend and get value but they still SPEND.

For me 6th in the Premier league with no money is the new first. Every team above Everton have spent huge sums in comparison over the 10 years or so he's been there even Spurs. Maybe Arsenal but it would still be a lot more than Everton have spent.

What is the point in quoting winning managers who have never ever done it with nothing? That is completely nonsensical.

It's not just the players he hasn't been able to even contemplate signing over the years either, but the ones like Rooney he's been forced to sell. Just having had him this season would have seen a top4 finish.

Seeing he is Everton's manager I think some are being overly harsh and also unrealistic to what any manager in those circumstances is able to do in the 2013 game of football.

I know one thing for sure, he hasn't finished 7th this season and spunked in excess of £200 million over a couple of season like we have.

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

I think my comments were very relevant and proved my point that he has done nothing special. If he's done so well, name me 6 teams that he has finished above that should have finished above everton.....

Nearly all the teams below everton were expected to be below everton. What exactly has he achieved?? Of course, these are not just my reservations but those of a lot of utd and everton fans as well.

Good logic I suppose smirk

Pete: Berg, I'm just not cut out to be a good person.
Berg: I know. That's why the Lord gave us good looks.
