they will get the most prestgious football club the world has ever known. they will get history, passion, nostalgia, glory, the best supporters ever. they will get.....simply the best!

They will only be getting 25% of the best though which I think will not be enough. Plus, the money will only go to paying off the debt. Will the investor then be liable for 25% of the remaining debt? Nothing short of a complete take over is what is needed.

the problem is nobody is going to get in bed with these two ar5e holes if they have a 25% share thats 12 an half off each of g/h theyl have no say so why would you put 100m of your own money in, there a joke i personaly cant see us getting it unless they sell the lot there not trusted by anyone so well just have to hope an pray because if we dont get investment an soon we could end up mid table theres a lot more clubs run better than us .

Sorry they would of been getting that twenty odd years ago not now, those days are long gone am afraid as much as i would like them to return, football has moved on and we are no longer one of the giants of the game. This can be put down to a number of reasons, people like John Smith and Peter Robison for allowing the grass to grow under our feet when we should of built from a position of strenghth back in the mid eighties, poor and weak boardrooms involving people like Noel White and David Moores, Managers allowing the team to slide like King Kenny then made worse by the appointment of Graeme Souness, Roy Evans nice guy as he is not strong enough, one of the most embarassing apointments of modern football with two managers at once, Gerard Houllier and the current manager with boring, stale, negative, one dimensional football where if plan A fails revert to plan A, poor players not fit to wear our famous red shirt and only here for the pay day, fans who no longer understand the meaning of supporting our great football club and are only to happy to accept mediocrity by backing an incompetent manager and p*ss poor players and finaly two owners who are only here to milk the cash cow as quick as they can before selling it of at an obscene profit. As i said at the start the football club from twenty years ago is most definately not the one we are seeing in this day and age and in all fairness will never return.

like to think so but just cant see it ever happening Manchester United have become just to big and powerful over the last twenty years while we have stood still, City will hopefuly start to dominate the next ten years which in turn will stop United breaking more of our old records. I think in our hearts we all think we can return to the top but if we let our heads win we all know deep down it will never return, it's happend to other big clubs in the past like Everton and Arsenal whose fans thought they could return to the top but they accept now that it simply wont happen, just that where in that boat now and some fans find it harder to accept than others and try to hold on to past glories.

Does this mean that we only require another 50 mil. investment?

Or will this be our transfer budget if we get an investor for the full 100 mil.?
