Think a thread about Kenwright and his speech at the memorial service might be a little off topic if we get into talking about ground share.

I wonder how the fans of both Milan and the Rome teams feel about their clubs currently sharing grounds. It's not like you see/hear of them protesting about it. Financially it'd be ideal for both clubs and the city itself would benefit from having a mega stadium, perhaps even 80-90k. I don't think your heart should rule your head on decisions of such magnitude, I'd have said if a ground can be shared between two sets of fans anywhere in the world, it would be on Merseyside.

But if you want to get into it, I don't think a ground share would be a good idea as I believe that a football club should have their own ground. I believe there's a special bond between a team, its stadium and the fans. I like the idea of "We are in for a tough day at anfield that's Liverpool's home ground and the most ferocious in Europe"

Point taken mate but doesn't the read itself (as well as thanking Kenwright) raise the question of ground sharing?

Well done to Bill Kenwright by the way.

I agree we could be the first to share and make it a success.I could have the perfect idea for the colour problem too....clear plastic seats with colour changing lights, from red and white to blue and white.....sorted wink

I dont think many fear coming to Anfield anymore to be honest, and when teams go to Rome or go to Milan to play in the Olympico or the San Siro i think they do get a sense of "were in for a tough day at San Siro/Olympico playing a top European side", i'm not completely with the ground share but its better than what we currently have lined up - nothing. Also, fair play to Mr. Kenwright great speech and rivalries aside he is a top man.

Oh no of course they don't. However I still like the idea of trying to build back up fortress anfield. Although I agree that the San Siro etc are tough places to go but I just think of the now camp or the bernabu. I mean Barca have a chapel in the tunnel ffs! That's something you don't get with ground share IMO

Everton have always been family over hillsborough and to be fair so have man Utd.

As for groundshare it would be fine by me priovuded Everton pay half. I woud nt like to see us subsidise them especially these days when we have enough problems of our own.
